ClaimWatch is the automated delivery arm of ChoraQuest, LLC, a GIS and mineral title consultancy serving the mining, energy, and renewable development sectors across the western United States. It was designed and built by Mike Sandoz, founder of ChoraQuest and a 20+ year GIS and mineral title professional — and it reflects a working practice, not a whitepaper.
Why ClaimWatch Exists
U.S. mineral title data is fragmented across multiple unconnected systems. Federal unpatented claims live in BLM MLRS. State mineral leases sit in 30 separate state systems. Patented claims are recorded in county recorder offices. Tribal lands fall under separate BIA administration.
Unlike Australia (MinView, GeoVic), Canada (Mineral Titles Online), South Africa (SAMRAD), Chile (SERNAGEOMIN), or Peru (GEOCATMIN), the United States has no centralized national mining cadastre. Every research project starts from scratch, pulling data from multiple federal and state systems, cross-referencing manually, and building deliverables one at a time.
ClaimWatch was built to fix this. It consolidates federal mining claim data, USGS mineralization records, PLSS geometry, and land status into a single platform that generates professional intelligence reports on demand. For the full educational reference on this problem, see The Fragmented U.S. Mining Data Landscape.
About ChoraQuest
ChoraQuest, LLC is a Georgia limited liability company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The firm provides GIS, mineral title, and land management services to mining operators, energy companies, and renewable development firms across the western United States.
Every report type in ClaimWatch exists because a landman or geologist actually needed it on a real project. The platform was built from the inside out — by someone who has spent two decades in BLM offices, county courthouses, and field camps doing the work by hand.
Beyond ClaimWatch
ChoraQuest's services extend beyond ClaimWatch's automated reporting platform:
Claim Mapping & Land Status
Detailed active claim mapping and manual land status research to confirm what ground is actually available for staking. Field-level verification before you commit.
Automated Staking Packages
Proprietary tools generate complete staking packages at scale — location certificates, corner cards, and maps for near-unlimited claim counts.
Mineral Title Examination
Full mineral title examination on both patented and unpatented claims — chain-of-title, encumbrance review, and due diligence support through closing.
GIS & Custom Development
Publication-grade ArcGIS Pro cartography, custom GIS tools, workflow automation, and document processing built to your operation.
